MWC Military Watch Company
Military Watch Company
MWC Military Watches are based in Zurich Switzerland with offices in the USA and South Africa.
MWC were founded by Wolfgang Obrigheimer in 1974 and have been producing well built military timepieces for serving soldiers, anti terrorist units, airlines, police forces, special forces units and mining companies all around the world.
The MWC model G10 is one of the most tried and tested G10 models available, and since its earlier variants has been in production and service for more then 20 years. The MWC G10 Stealth PVD is yet another variant that is unique in that its the only G10 to be produced by any military watch company in covert non reflective PVD black. PVD matt black finish is required by many special forces units around the world and is applied by means of a chemical PVD plating process which is vastly superior to painted sprayed finishes which would simply and quickly fade and rub off.
To apply PVD or (Physical Vapour Deposition - also some times referred to as Ion Plating), finish to the watch casing, the casing is first heated to 400° C and sprayed with the fine molecules of vapour paint coating up to a micron thick, which when bonded makes this coating far superior to cheaper paint finishes and powder coats.
The MWC G10 is water resistant to 50m - 150 feet and comes complete with hardened mineral glass, watch movement by Ronda 705 with date window, Illumination by Super Luminova and comes with the NATO issue strap.
