Pith Helmets

One of the great British icons from the colonel past is the British Pith Helmet.

Pith helmets were widely worn during the British Empire. British colonial pith helmets where worrn by the British army in the Zulu war at Rorkes Drift and Isandlhwana in South Africa.

Replica Pith Helmets are made the same now as the ones the Vietnamese made when they learned the art of pith helmet manufacturing a hundred years ago from the French during their occupation.

Used mainly for re enactment societies, theatre, films, war displays, fancy dress and even the barmy army.
